Montreal, Canada (24 Aug 2025) — On a joyous day in August, the Bangladesh Day Parade was celebrated for the first time in Montreal, Canada. Bangladeshi culture, history and the participation of children were particularly noteworthy in this exceptional event.

At the beginning of the program, pictures of Shapla and Kalka with various symbols were handed over to the children. Then, after a discussion with the chairperson, a colorful parade was held with the participation of everyone, which created great enthusiasm and joy among all the people present.


















The second part of the program was a quiz conducted by Dr. Shishir Bhattacharya. The topic of the quiz was “Come and Know Bangladesh”. About forty children participated in it. At the end of the quiz, a book was given to each child as a gift, which added special joy to the children.

Dr. Shishir Bhattacharya, Mr. Manu Halder, Fatema Akhter, a Bangla School teacher, Ms. Nowshaba, Bangla School teacher, and Mr. Zebul Hasan, a poet, were in the judges panel of the quiz competition.
